    Scientific Writing and Publishing in English – Workshop

    Instructor: Donna J. Drucker, MLS, PhD (Sprachenzentrum)

    URBANgrad is happy to announce two workshop sessions related to “Scientific Writing and Publishing in English” with Donna Drucker (Sprachenzentrum, TU Darmstadt) on June 14 and 22. The language of the workshop is English. The workshop has been designed as a result of the last survey in November to address the needs of PhD students at the faculty.

    The workshop is for free and open to researchers at the faculty of architecture. The number of workshop participants is limited and a RSVP (to Markus Kip) is required. Preference is given to PhD students, otherwise slots will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis. It is possible to participate at just one workshop, but please indicate if you plan to do so.

    The Graduate School of Urban Studies (URBANgrad) and Mundus Urbano at the Faculty of Architecture, TU Darmstadt are pleased to invite you to the presentation of the results of the research project „Architectures of Arrival. The case of Otto-Röhm-Straße Refugee Housing in Darmstadt“ (see below, on facebook, and a flyer is attached).

    At the event the international set of young researchers will talk about their research findings and exhibit posters. We have invited residents, city officials and architects for a discussion on the possibilities of a welcoming architecture („Willkommensarchitektur“) for refugees in Darmstadt. Please join us!
